Internship

Calling all passionate individuals who care about preserving Little Cottonwood Canyon and Protecting Taxpayer Dollars!

Backed by data and a team of experienced professionals, Canyon Guard is a coalition dedicated to safeguarding Little Cottonwood Canyon’s majestic beauty. We advocate for cost-effective solutions to traffic congestion that don’t burden taxpayers or compromise the environment, safeguarding Little Cottonwood Canyon’s wilderness for generations to come. Analysis done by our team reveals that the Gondola project is an irresponsible use of taxpayer funds when numerous proven, low-cost transportation solutions exist.

In December 2023, our coalition partner, Friends of Alta, took a bold step by filing a lawsuit challenging the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) decision to install a Gondola system as the final solution to traffic issues in Little Cottonwood Canyon. We know filing the lawsuit was crucial, but more work must be done in order to find a collaborative solution. To this end, we are establishing an internship program in hopes to recruit talented individuals to further our cause. Apply today and become a valuable member of our team!

Our internships offer 10-20 hours of work per week. Many positions are unpaid, but provide valuable experience and the chance to develop into paid roles in the future.
